BASS HOUSE

BAYTEK DABBLES WITH GRIME VOCALS IN HIS FINAL RELEASE FOR 2016

15 Dec , 2016

Bass-house has been a big deal in 2016 around the world. With artists like Ghastly, Mija, Dr Fresch or Wax Motif taking the front seat in the rise of this subgenre, it’s been pretty apparent that we’ve got a strong crew pushing the sound on home turf too – with people like Vengeance, Anna Lunoe and of course, Baytek.

He’s already made a lasting impact this year with the release of his much-hyped “Rise EP” which featured the punchy productions “Deadbeat“, “FWYT” and “Changes” ft ives.

Following suit of his debut EP, his latest release “Way Back When” is a hard hitting bass heavy banger. Filled with shrieking alarms, crisp percussion and a UK garage vocal belting out orders, you know this is a straight dance floor weapon. Another string in the already outstanding bow of this young gun producer. Finishing on another high note, it would stand to reason that 2017 will be a year of opportunity for the Wollongong based producer on the cusp of breakthrough.

Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to have a ticket to Falls Festival Lorne in your possession, do ya boi a favour and make sure to support his set in the Grand Theatre on 31st DecĀ at 12.50-2.00am to bring in the new year!
