A distorted phrase repeats, “we are the voices of the future“, with the vocoder properties of vintage Daft Punk. These are the opening bars of the debut track from mysterious producer Bechara.
The track entitled “Back To The Bloodshed” has recently been released by the secretive artist, who hasn’t given much away on his social media (outside his Soundcloud letting slip that he’s a Sydney local).
It’s a little Black Tiger Sex Machine, a pinch of Michael Jackson and a whole lotta cinematic emotion. Imagine if the Stranger Things and Run Lola Run soundtracks (c’mon, I’m like 90% sure everyone had to watch this in High School for some reason) were combined under the watchful eye of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo.
According to a hot tip, we’ve been told that “Back To The Bloodshed” tells the story of a man drafted into a war to fight someone else’s enemies. Upon his return, he discovers that his wife, family, and all that he was fighting to return to has deserted him. Betrayed by his former left and left isolated and paranoid, he returns to the war he never wanted, searching for solace amongst the foreign wasteland.
The best part? This single is only the first transmission from Bechara’s forthcoming album.
