At a certain point the word “superstar” just doesn’t feel right anymore. In Afrojack‘s case, he left “superstar” status in the dust a looooong time ago; currently sitting just shy of 10 million Facebook fans and a career headlining festivals for as long as I remember.
Today sees the release of his new track “Diamonds” a rough electro bass tune produced in collaboration with Sydney’s own Jay Karama. Released through Afrojack’s own label imprint, Wall Recordings, is the hard-hitting fist-pumping and brain-melting tune.
Karama has been a busy guy himself too, having just returned from an Asia tour landing in Seoul, Taipei and Kaohsiung. He spoke to Earmilk about the collaborative process, “Working with Afrojack was a surreal experience. I was collaborating with the very person that inspired me to start producing music years ago! Our styles had combined so seamlessly and upon completion in The Netherlands we couldn’t stop listening back to it! It was fucking dope.”
Never give up on your dreams kids.
