One of the awesome things about being in Adelaide is that everyone who is clued up about the local scene knows EVVEEERRRRYYYYTHING about what’s going on in the local scene. One of those is the extremely-photogenic producer L.K. McKay.
You’ve almost certainly caught L.K. (aka Luke McKay) at some point or another, thanks to his charismatic role as Tkay Maidza’s trusted producer (“U-Huh” or “M.O.B” anyone?) and touring DJ. Forging ahead on his own path outside of Tkay’s fierce shadow, Luke released a stellar debut single entitled “Tip Toe” featuring Alexander Burnett and Doe Paoro.
Another of the all-too-familiar names for Adelaide folk is iconic electronic music community radio station, Fresh 92.7. Together with L.K. McKay, the radio station has recently announced the winners of a locals-only remix competition for “Tip Toe”.
Antigen‘s remix continues along the future-bass path Luke set out along, only beefing up the bass to create a club-ready edit. Photon has the DNB side of things covered with a choppy high-energy flip, whilst Lezen has chosen to go for more of a sun-drenched tropical house affair.
