Earlier this year bass-house superstar JAUZ was in the country for Listen Out and during some downtime between shows he took some time to hang out with fans at Culture Kings. One of those fans was seventeen year old Sydney producer Leotrix, pictured above showing JAUZ one of his own original productions.
So reportedly the track he showed him was “Mystik Man“, this other-worldly wobbly trap song, flooded with bass. Whilst it’s a stellar release, I actually wanna take a sec to throw props out there for his newest track.
The latest track from Leotrix is “Shook” and released almost a month ago (somehow I’ve managed to kinda sleep on it until now, that was my bad folks). In short, it’s fucking tuuuuuune. Released on Sola, an imprint of Daruma which is run by Myrne, Enschway and AwolTalk – he’s collected some pretty damn good supporters for a young gun. Production-wise, the track is a sidewinding future-beats jam with shimmering crystalic production and a shadow of grinding bass house synths.
I’m not the only one just jumping on the Leotrix train now though, as FBi Radio (Sydney’s tastemaker alternative radio station) has added the track to regular rotation, so if you’re tuned into FBi be prepared to hear this banger a whole heap more.
