The strength of the music community in Australia is arguably the best in the world. We’ve got a national broadcaster (triple j) that has a firm mantra to support local musicians, a government that (for the most part) tries their best to keep these artists on-the-rise globally and we even have the whole month of November dedicated to homegrown music in the form of AusMusicMonth.
To celebrate the occasion, Spenda C has today released a compendium of his favourite upcoming Australian artists and flipped them with his signature flame twist. If you’re not familiar with Spenda C – catch up quick, this pioneer in the Australian trap-scene has performed on main stages at Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, Field Day and Breakfest. Not to mention his official remixes for Peking Duk, SAFIA and Paces.
The new remix EP, entitled “The Plug Project” in which he takes some of the most exciting rap & punk releases from Midas.Gold, Columbus, I AM D and Ivan Ooze, and working them into new club-ready fiyah.
As the 2016 draws to a close, this is reportedly the last new music we’ll hear from Spenda C this year. The silver lining is that we can expect to hear the first single from his debut album early next year, slated for a mid-February. Consider me v excited for this album!
