Last weekend saw the annual return for one of EDM’s largest events in the US – Ultra Music Festival. The lineup had a range of headliners from bass-music favourites Nero, The Prodigy, DJ Snake and Destructo, all the way through the musical spectrum to the more chilled-out offerings of Purity Ring and our very own Chet Faker.
Chet wasn’t the only Australian headline offering though. Live DNB ambassadors, Pendulum, have returned to stages around the world in 2016 and the Miami festival saw their return paired hand-in-hand with side project turn EDM-juggernaut, Knife Party.
One of the biggest highlights from the Knife Party portion of the set was special guest Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine) performing a new collaborative track live [at approx 29:15 min], before launching into an electric guitar infused re-work of “Bonfire”.
The Pendulum portion of the set kicks off around the 38:49 min mark, with their iconic track “The Island” from the still-stunning 2010 album “Immersion”.
Could we be seeing the return of Pendulum’s live show in Australia anytime soon?
