BASS HOUSE, FUTURE BASS

WAX MOTIF DROPS BUBBLY RAP JAM AHEAD OF USA FESTIVAL TOUR ft. JEVON DOE

Here at Deep Creatures, there is nothing we love more in this whole wide world than Australian producers going global and showing the rest of the world what us Aussies are made of.

Undoubtedly that would have to include the prince of bass-house, Wax Motif. Following on from a crazy big year releasing tracks with Destructo, Pusha T, Vindata and GTA, this in-demand producer has just released his first track of 2017 through Destructo’s HARD HITS Records/Sweat It Out. In somewhat of a swerve musically for Wax Motif, “Used 2 Be” retains his signature rap-flavour thanks to Jevon Doe‘s vocals, but swaps out the four-four basslines for a more bubbly future bass production on the track. A testament to true talent, the quality of the beat sounds like a veteran future-bass producer.

Released in parallel with the audio, “Used 2 Be” has also had a video clip premiered by Billboard earlier this week. The video serves a visual representation of everything the track is, fun-neon-good-vibes-roadtrip-through-space… Or at least that’s what I took from it.

Wax Motif will be heading on tour through USA over the next few months, hitting up Lollapalooza, Mad Decent Pool Party, Electric Zoo, and what looks like some sneaky unannounce gap dates too.
